Will MindApp run on my operating system?

MindApp runs on Microsoft Vista, Windows XP and Windows 2000. See our system requirements for details.

What is my License Activation Code?

To verify that you are using a licensed copy of MindApp, you must enter your license code when you run MindApp for the first time.  If you forgot your license code you can view it using your customer support account.

How do I get my Activation Code?

The most convenient way to get your Activation code is from MindApp. 

1. Start MindApp.
2. The Evaluation dialog will be displayed. Click the 'Get Activation Code' button.
3. The Information Dialog will be displayed. Click 'OK'.
4. The Web Browser will be launched to your MindApp login page.
5. Log in using your account name and password. Follow the directions.

Can I run MindApp on more than one computer?

Yes. Your license allows you to install and run MindApp for your own use on any of your computers. You can get additional license codes from your support account. You need your account name and password to gain access.

How long does it take to download?

Download times depend on the speed of your internet connection. Expect a download time of less then a minute for Cable/DSL or 5-10 minutes for dial-up.

What should I do if the download gets interrupted?

If your download is interrupted, simply try to download again. If the problem persists, contact customer support for further assistance.

Is there a version of MindApp for the Mac?

No. MindApp only runs on Vista, Windows XP and Windows 2000. See our system requirements for details.

I can't figure out how to do something in MindApp. What should I do?

First, make sure you have consulted MindApp's online help for a solution. Choose Help / Help Contents from MindApp's menu to access online help. If you don't find an answer to your question in online help, read this FAQ for a solution. If you still haven't solved your problem, contact customer support.

How do I create a PDF of a MindApp map?

To create a PDF of a MindApp map you need a PDF driver. Several commercial PDF drivers are available at very reasonable prices. There is also a free open source PDF driver called PDFCreator that you can download

How do I export a MindApp map to Word?

To export a MindApp map to Word:

1. Export your map as an HTML outline
2. Read the HTML file into Word.

How do I add an image from a web page?

To insert an image from a web page:

1. Right click on the web image then click on "Copy Image"
2. Right click on the map's Itembox then click on "Insert Image > From Clipboard"
