I almost always have at least one mind map going at all times with my current to-do lists broken down by category. This tends to be the first thing I go and edit if my brain is starting feel crowded. There is something about having it all out in front of me, organized, that eases my mind. MindApp allows you to have checkmarks next to each item to indicate whether the item is done, but I actually prefer using a strikethrough and greying out like this: buy milk One thing I never keep consistent is crossing out vs. deleting. Once something is done, I could delete the item, but usually I leave it crossed out for a while. That way if it’s still on my mind I can see that it is done and relax. After it’s out of my mind, I delete.
